Hotel Director – Luxury Cruise Ship

About the role

The Hotel Director will lead all hotel operations on a luxury cruise ship, ensuring an exceptional guest experience and maintaining Forbes 5‑star standards. This senior position requires strategic vision, strong leadership, and the ability to inspire a diverse crew.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and overall leadership for the hotel department.
• Oversee all aspects of hotel operations to maximise guest satisfaction and crew friendliness.
• Implement and maintain Forbes 5‑star standards, preparing the ship for possible inspections.
• Conduct daily powerful and inspiring morning meetings.
• Mentor heads of departments, identify training needs and support talent development.
• Participate in weekly public health inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed.
• Distribute NPS, financial data, Voyage Report and Deep Dive Analysis to stakeholders at the end of each voyage.

Required profile

• Minimum 6‑8 years of professional experience in luxury hotel operations (multi‑outlet).
• At least 5 years in a management role.
• Previous cruise‑line experience is an advantage.
• Excellent fluent English (verbal and written); additional languages are a plus.
