IT Technical Sales Consultant (Network / Telco)

About the role

The Technical Sales Consultant works as a sales‑engineering bridge between TELUS sales teams and business clients across Canada. You will apply deep knowledge of networking, unified communications, SD‑WAN and cyber‑security solutions to design and deliver technically sound, business‑focused offerings.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales professionals, internal operations and delivery teams to develop and present solutions in connectivity, unified communications, SD‑WAN and cyber‑security.
• Manage end‑to‑end solution development for a defined portfolio, handling customer requests such as moves, adds and changes (MACs).
• Provide technical guidance throughout the solution development life‑cycle and support daily business execution.
• Translate technical benefits into financial value for customers.

Required profile

• Strong ability to work independently, manage ambiguity and adapt to changing customer needs.
• Excellent business‑level English communication, both written and verbal.
• Customer‑first mindset with proven relationship‑building skills.
• Post‑secondary degree in engineering, computer science, a technical diploma or equivalent.
• Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Cisco, Microsoft) are a strong asset.

Required skills

• Connectivity solutions: Business Internet, High‑Speed Internet Access, GPON.
• Unified Communications: Business Connect (White Glove), Microsoft Teams, Office 365 bundles.
• Software‑Defined WAN: TMNE Bundle, GoCo SD‑WAN.
• Cyber‑Security services: Managed Detection Response, Pen‑Testing, Email Protection, Managed Awareness.
• Proficiency with Google Suite and familiarity with TELUS internal tools.
