Specification Specialist

About the role

Jotun Maroc is hiring a Specification Specialist in Casablanca, reporting to the Sales Manager. You will support the department in getting Jotun products approved in the specifications of major construction projects by building contacts with architects and consultants, so that Jotun's specifications are approved and followed at every project level.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Sales Manager in securing approval for Jotun products on projects in the assigned territory by providing technical and commercial information.
• Maintain an up-to-date database of key construction projects and architects in the territory.
• Build a network of consultants, architects, designers and project specifiers to help approve Jotun specifications.
• Deliver technical and commercial training and presentations at seminars to grow sales through the architect channel.
• Identify and map projects, influence project decision-makers and secure project business.
• Monitor construction and paint markets and use the insights to promote Jotun products and position the company as a market leader.
• Support the Sales Team in reaching its targets and keep project owners informed until the sales process completes.
• Develop long-term relationships with specifiers through visits, presentations and seminars, and arrange regular meetings with architects, consultants and project owners.

Required profile

• Master's degree or equivalent (Bac+5).
• 3 years of experience in specification sales, business development or B2B sales within the construction industry.
• An existing, up-to-date database of professional contacts and an established network of architects, consultants, designers, specifiers and project owners.
• Good knowledge of construction stakeholders, projects and decision-making processes.
• Experience in paints, coatings or building materials is an advantage.
