Systems Engineering & Project Coordination Internship

About the role

Join Bertrandt as a Systems Engineering & Project Coordination intern where you will support the definition and management of system requirements, functional architecture, and cross‑disciplinary interfaces. This role offers hands‑on experience in technical coordination across mechanical, piping, controls, and CAD domains.

Key responsibilities

• Structure reference use cases, system requirements and research questions.
• Coordinate technology benchmarks, source quality, assumptions, decision criteria and maintain the knowledge base.
• Define and maintain external power, water, brine, media, drainage and communication interfaces.
• Maintain decisions, risks, assumptions, dependencies and open issues to ensure consistency across all work products.
• Coordinate the integrated report and backlog for the following semester.

Required profile

• Enrolled in Systems Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a comparable technical program.
• Strong structured and systems‑oriented thinking with interest in cross‑functional technical coordination.
• Ability to work constructively with incomplete information and communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
• Initial experience with requirements engineering, systems engineering, technical research, benchmarking or technical project work is helpful.
