Purchasing Specialist

About the role

Versigent is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to support its global manufacturing network. You will act as the primary liaison between our factories and suppliers, ensuring timely and cost‑effective procurement of components and raw materials.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor component needs for all Versigent factories and issue daily RFQs.
• Communicate specifications, annual volumes, and start dates to suppliers.
• Create new supplier master data (VN and PI) and purchase orders in SAP.
• Negotiate delivery schedules and manage contract creation on SAP.
• Maintain supplier data in NEWCOMP and generate frame‑contract SAs.
• Coordinate with SPB to close DSPA and FC on schedule.
• Generate open orders (contracts) for logistics to trigger EDI delivery requests.
• Handle procurement for prototype parts and after‑sales services.
• Lead meetings with problematic suppliers to resolve delivery, payment, or communication issues.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Logistics or a related field.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Understanding of Lean principles and logistics processes.

Required skills

• SAP (vendor master, purchase order creation, contract management).
• Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) for supplier communications.
• Advanced computer proficiency (Microsoft Office suite).
