Test Analyst – Payments QA Engineer

About the role

HPS is seeking a Test Analyst – Payments QA Engineer to join its Quality Assurance team. You will help ensure the reliability and performance of card payment solutions that support issuing and acquiring systems across multiple channels.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute manual and automated test cases covering functional, integration, regression and performance scenarios.
• Prepare test data sets and environments, and validate end‑to‑end payment transaction flows for debit and credit cards.
• Test card lifecycle management features such as activation, PIN management, blocking/replacement, and limit rules.
• Validate transaction processing across POS, ATM and e‑commerce channels.
• Contribute to regression test automation, maintain automated scripts and support CI pipelines for nightly test execution.
• Log, track and analyze defects using JIRA, collaborating with developers and business analysts to drive resolution.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail.
• Experience working in payment or financial services environments is a plus.
• Ability to work closely with cross‑functional teams to achieve full test coverage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with JIRA or similar defect‑tracking tools.
• Hands‑on experience designing and executing test cases for payment systems.
• Familiarity with test automation concepts and continuous integration pipelines.
