Accountant

About the role

Continental is seeking an experienced Accountant to manage all accounting activities for the Continental Tires North Africa (CTNA) business unit. The role combines day‑to‑day accounting operations with strategic financial advisory and internal control design.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily accounting functions including accounts payable, cash management, general ledger entries, and journal processing.
• Act as SAP FICO key‑user, ensuring accurate and timely posting in compliance with IFRS.
• Design and implement accounting administration structures and internal controls aligned with corporate guidelines and local regulations.
• Lead month‑end closing, prepare management information, and produce periodic financial reports (income statement, balance sheet).
• Coordinate statutory and internal audits, resolve audit queries, and ensure compliance with IFRS and local legislation.
• Serve as Tax Functional Lead, managing tax compliance and liaison with external consultants and Moroccan tax authorities.
• Supervise treasury activities, cash‑flow monitoring, supplier payment planning, and banking operations.

Required profile

• Several years of professional experience in accounting, finance, or audit within a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, corporate accounting standards, and tax regulations.
• Proven ability to design internal controls and improve financial processes.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to advise senior management on financial matters.
