Business Development Manager – O&M & PPP – Africa

About the role

Egis is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead the growth of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) and Public‑Private Partnership (PPP) activities across Africa, with a primary focus on aviation and road sectors. Reporting to the Africa General Manager, the role will shape market strategy, build key relationships, and drive revenue generation.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve order intake for O&M services in Africa, concentrating on aviation and road projects.
• Develop and obtain approval for a strategic roadmap aligned with Egis’ overall objectives.
• Establish and maintain a strong network of customers, partners, consultants, and other industry stakeholders in priority countries.
• Collaborate with Egis service lines to expand O&M and PPP offerings.
• Identify and assess new project opportunities, supporting commercial prospecting across the region.
• Contribute to the commercial action plan and enhance the Group’s understanding of the African O&M ecosystem.
• Build and manage a pipeline of projects, preparing Go/No‑Go and Risk & Commitment Committee reviews.
• Lead tender preparation as Bid Manager or support bid teams with strategy, costing, and technical solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development within O&M, PPP, aviation, or road sectors.
• Strong knowledge of the African infrastructure market and its key players.
• Demonstrated ability to create and execute strategic roadmaps.
• Excellent networking and relationship‑building skills.
• Experience managing complex tender processes and coordinating cross‑functional teams.
