About the role

Deloitte is seeking an Experienced General Accountant to join its African team. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end accounting operations, tax compliance and payroll support while ensuring data accuracy and regulatory conformity.

Key responsibilities

• Manage general and analytical accounting entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual tax declarations.
• Oversee payroll processes, including variable elements, payroll posting and social declarations.
• Handle treasury activities: bank postings, reconciliations and cash‑flow planning.
• Participate in account analysis, review and closing for management reporting.
• Contribute to the preparation of annual financial statements and tax bundles.
• Collaborate with management controllers, propose solutions and improve service quality.
• Identify and suggest enhancements to accounting and financial processes.

Required profile

• Higher education in accounting, business school or university.
• 4‑5 years of experience in accounting or financial processes.
• Familiarity with SYSCOHADA regulations.
• Proficiency with standard computer tools.
