Engineering & Maintenance Department Manager

About the role

Aptiv is seeking an Engineering & Maintenance Department Manager to lead all system transactions, update production documentation, and drive new projects within the plant. The role combines strategic ownership of key processes with hands‑on leadership of engineering and maintenance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Act as process owner for designated flows, ensuring results and accountability.
• Define activity plans, coordinate installations, and oversee execution of new projects.
• Lead daily engineer meetings, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions.
• Support and train team leaders, coordinate cross‑functional activities, and manage engineering changes.
• Implement layout changes, approve work instructions, and ensure compliance with Aptiv standards.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives, monitor cost‑reduction programs, and track performance targets.
• Coordinate PPAP preparation, first‑production samples, and contribute to control‑plan development.
• Plan departmental activities, manage budget adherence, and participate in weekly technical governance meetings.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Electromechanics or Industrial Automation.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a similar managerial role.
• Background in the automotive or plastics industry.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict‑management skills.
