Instrumentation Engineer – Automation & Control

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated Instrumentation Engineer to join our Equipment Engineering / Electrical & Instrumentation Department. The role focuses on ensuring accurate measurement and reliable control of critical process parameters across our production facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, calibration and repair of field instruments such as pressure transmitters, temperature sensors, flowmeters, level gauges and analytical devices.
• Participate in new‑build and retrofit projects: select, install, commission instruments, define specifications and supervise installation quality.
• Support DCS and PLC systems by maintaining I/O modules, diagnosing communication failures and collaborating with process engineers to optimise control logic and PID settings.
• Build and maintain an instrument register, develop calibration schedules, monitor execution and manage spare‑parts inventory.
• Identify outdated or low‑precision devices, propose smart‑instrumentation or wireless monitoring solutions and drive continuous improvement and digitalisation initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Measurement & Control Technology, Instrumentation, Automation, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong understanding of sensor principles, automatic control theory and industrial instrumentation.
• Experience with industrial instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, level) and basic knowledge of DCS/PLC architectures.
