Machinist – Machine Tool Setup & Maintenance

About the role

TE is looking for a skilled Machinist to set up, fabricate, assemble, maintain, and test machine tools and equipment for experimental and prototype projects. You will work closely with engineering teams to ensure high‑quality components are produced safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Set up and operate machine tools according to established machining procedures.
• Fabricate prototype‑level components and assemble them to support product development from ideation to introduction.
• Perform quality checks on finished parts, document defects, and investigate root causes.
• Interpret blueprints and design documents to create toolpaths and verify part availability.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, calibration, and routine service of machines in line with guidelines.

Required profile

• Minimum 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience as a machinist or similar role.
• High school diploma required; vocational training or an associate degree preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures.
