Night Audit

About the role

The Night Audit role ensures the smooth completion of end‑of‑day financial and operational tasks for the hotel. You will be the primary point of contact for guests during the night shift, handling check‑ins, payments and any urgent requests.

Key responsibilities

• Post all charges to guest accounts, process cash, checks, debit and credit payments, and run the nightly audit backup.
• Print contingency lists and maintain records of all guests for emergency situations.
• Sell available rooms to walk‑in guests, manage telephone switchboard requests, and arrange wake‑up calls.
• Complete the Room Rate Variance Report, activate or reissue electronic key cards, and handle guest check‑ins.
• Count and secure the cash drawer at shift end, balance receipts, and follow accounting specifications for drops.
• Report accidents or unsafe conditions, uphold company policies, and provide courteous service to all guests.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Less than one year of related front‑desk or hospitality experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification needed.
