Operations Director – Logistics (Morocco)

About the role

Horoz Lojistik is expanding its logistics footprint in Morocco and seeks an experienced Operations Director to lead the new operation. The role will shape the operational structure, ensure service quality, and drive growth in the Moroccan market.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage all logistics operations in Morocco, including sea freight and international forwarding.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve operational processes and procedures.
• Coordinate with carriers, shipping lines, agents, and suppliers to ensure smooth execution of shipments.
• Monitor performance against KPIs, address gaps, and report results to senior management.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, business partners, and local stakeholders.
• Control operational costs, identify efficiency gains, and contribute to profitability.
• Recruit, develop, and lead a local operations team as the business scales.
• Ensure compliance with Moroccan regulations, company policies, and international logistics standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or transportation, with a strong focus on maritime/sea‑freight operations.
• Proven senior management experience in a logistics or freight‑forwarding environment.
• Deep knowledge of sea‑freight processes, shipping lines, ports, customs procedures and international transport flows.
• Demonstrated ability to manage cross‑functional teams and drive operational excellence.
• Fluency in English and French; Arabic is an advantage.
• Strong commercial awareness and ability to work in a multicultural, international setting.
