R&D/Product Development Technician IV

About the role

Join TE as an R&D/Product Development Technician IV and contribute to the design, testing and improvement of prototypes, components and work‑in‑progress. You will work with minimal supervision while collaborating with a diverse team to deliver safer, sustainable and connected solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive design and testing of samples, prototypes, products and components.
• Test moderately complex components and systems for compliance with specifications, document results and conduct re‑testing as needed.
• Guide and assist less‑experienced technicians, fostering skill development and performance excellence.
• Develop advanced CAD models to support product development.
• Utilize complex instruments, testing equipment and gauges to study, report and recommend continuous product or process improvements.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years (or more) of related experience in R&D or product development.
• High school diploma required; an Associate degree or equivalent is preferred.
• Demonstrated integrity, accountability, inclusion, innovation and teamwork.

• CAD modeling (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
