Receptionist – Guest Services on Luxury Cruise Ship

About the role

We are seeking a professional Receptionist to join our luxury cruise ship team. You will be the first point of contact for guests, delivering exceptional service and ensuring a smooth and memorable experience throughout their voyage.

Key responsibilities

• Provide front‑desk guest services, handling enquiries, requests and complaints promptly.
• Assist guests with financial transactions, including cash, credit cards, foreign currency exchange and cash advances.
• Manage daily reception duties such as RSVP invitations, mail service, DVD/CD rentals, newspaper distribution, restaurant reservations and wake‑up calls.
• Maintain communication with the Guest Relations Manager and other ship departments.
• Balance cash handling with the Financial Officer at the end of each cruise.

Required profile

• Preferably 2 years experience in guest‑facing or front‑desk roles at an international 5‑star or luxury establishment.
• Strong administrative abilities and moral integrity.
• Excellent fluent English (verbal and written); additional language skills in Spanish, Portuguese, German or French are highly desirable.
• Adaptable, quick‑thinking, and able to make decisions under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Well‑organized, self‑motivated and capable of handling multiple demands calmly.
