Senior Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Hexcel, a global leader in advanced composites and carbon fiber technology, is hiring a Senior Maintenance Engineer for its Casablanca, Morocco location. The engineer leads maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability, uptime and operational efficiency, and works closely with production, engineering, EHS and quality teams.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance to maximize equipment reliability, uptime and efficiency.
• Ensure machinery and maintenance operations comply with health, safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Develop, implement and continuously improve maintenance strategies, schedules and standard operating procedures.
• Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Partner with Production, Engineering, EHS and Quality teams to improve equipment performance and manufacturing productivity.
• Lead equipment upgrade, modernization, automation and continuous improvement projects.
• Monitor and manage maintenance KPIs and prepare action plans to reach operational excellence targets.
• Keep maintenance records and documentation accurate and effective for audit requirements.
• Manage contractors, suppliers and maintenance teams while supporting employee development, technical training and capital investment projects.

Required profile

• Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• At least 6 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
• Experience with PLCs, robotics or advanced automation systems.
• Proficiency in diagnostic tools and maintenance software (CMMS).
• Problem-solving and analytical skills, and excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Eligibility to work in the country where the position is based.
