Advanced Quality Engineer

About the role

The Advanced Quality Engineer will lead quality activities for new automotive projects, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and internal standards. This position supports prototype validation, production launch, and continuous improvement within Lear's Tangier facility.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Advanced Quality tasks for new projects, including Schedule‑A/eAPQP submission and PPAP package preparation.
• Develop and update control plans, audit execution, and manage special characteristic methods (SCCAF/Supplement K).
• Validate prototypes, resolve internal and external quality issues during prototype and pre‑serial production, and track customer scorecards.
• Control engineering changes, support self‑assessment activities, and contribute to Quality Management System improvements.

Required profile

• Engineering or Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Quality, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Experience in automotive quality, preferably with German OEMs, and knowledge of IATF 16949.
• Ability to work in a high‑tempo environment and collaborate across functions.

Required skills

• Quality core‑tools: Control Plan, PFMEA, PPAP, APQP.
• Problem‑solving methods: Ishikawa, 8D, 5 Why, Pareto.
• Proficiency in English and French.
