Aircraft Mechanic 2 (AH-64) – Morocco

About the role

The AH-64 Aircraft Mechanic (AM-2) is responsible for performing comprehensive maintenance, inspection, and repair of AH-64 helicopter systems in accordance with FAA and military standards. The role supports the full lifecycle of tactical aircraft, ensuring operational readiness for deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute full‑range maintenance on AH‑64 helicopters, including assembly, modification, and system installation (fuel, hydraulic, engine, transmission, etc.).
• Align and balance fuselage and tail‑rotor assemblies, rig flight‑control systems, and incorporate authorized modifications.
• Conduct operational checks using external power sources and ground equipment, and troubleshoot malfunctions to identify root causes.
• Disassemble components to the point of failure, repair or replace defective parts, and verify repairs with test and diagnostic equipment.
• Direct lower‑graded mechanics, coordinate with general mechanics and sheet‑metal trades, and ensure proper sequencing of aircraft assembly.
• Prepare and maintain maintenance forms, records, and documentation.
• Perform additional duties as required to support mission readiness.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum five (5) years of aviation maintenance experience on the AH‑64, preferably within the last five years.
• A&P or FCC license preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to obtain and maintain NAC‑I T1 Public Trust clearance; US citizenship required.
• Valid passport for deployment to Morocco and compliance with medical/vaccination requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with hand tools, gauges, torque wrenches, scales, and aircraft‑specific diagnostic equipment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and fuel systems.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply technical data, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
• Understanding of quality‑control, production, and supply procedures.
• Effective troubleshooting and problem‑solving capabilities across complete aircraft systems.
