ASD Tug Boat Master – Tanger Med Port

About the role

We are seeking an experienced ASD Tug Boat Master to command our tug operations at Tanger Med II Port, Morocco. You will lead a crew, ensure safe towage services, and contribute to the smooth flow of global trade through the port.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and manage ASD tugboats in port towage operations.
• Supervise crew activities, scheduling, and readiness.
• Maintain compliance with Svitzer policies, statutory regulations, and safety management systems.
• Prepare and submit operational and safety reports.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and training to crew members.
• Participate in safety training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 1st Class Master Certificate of Competency (Moroccan nationality required).
• Proven experience operating ASD tugs in port towage.
• Fluency in Arabic, French, and English.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure.
• Residence within one hour of Tanger Med II Port.

Required skills

• Basic proficiency with MS Office.
