Assistant Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports the Executive Housekeeper in delivering top‑class housekeeping services across guest rooms, public areas, laundry and linen operations at Sofitel Casablanca Tour Blanche. The role ensures high standards of cleanliness, guest comfort, and operational efficiency while fostering a motivated team.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and organizing all housekeeping activities, including guest rooms, public areas, laundry and linen.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of housekeeping staff to guarantee prompt, courteous service.
• Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, proper maintenance, and adherence to standards.
• Prepare weekly staffing schedules, track attendance, and manage labour planning for cost‑effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate inventory of supplies, linens and guest amenities, preventing loss or pilferage.
• Support training initiatives for new and existing staff, focusing on service standards, grooming and job knowledge.
• Assist in preparing monthly operational reports for the Executive Housekeeper.
• Handle guest complaints, ensuring swift resolution and guest satisfaction.
• Oversee equipment usage and schedule periodic servicing.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or a similar supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and team‑motivation abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high service standards.
• Ability to train, coach and develop staff members.
• Good organizational and time‑management skills.
