Assistant Housekeeping Manager

About the role

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager supports the Executive Housekeeper in delivering the highest standards of cleanliness and service across guest rooms, public areas, laundry and linen operations at Sofitel Casablanca Tour Blanche.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Executive Housekeeper and Assistant Housekeeper in planning, organizing and supervising all housekeeping activities.
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of housekeeping staff (ambassadors) to ensure prompt, courteous service.
• Inspect guest rooms and public areas regularly to maintain cleanliness, functionality and proper maintenance.
• Plan and deliver regular training sessions, focusing on service standards, grooming, efficiency and job knowledge.
• Prepare weekly staffing schedules, track attendance and conduct labour planning to meet hotel activity while controlling costs.
• Compile monthly reports for the Executive Housekeeper and monitor room‑cleaning productivity.
• Maintain accurate inventory of linens, supplies and guest amenities, preventing loss or pilferage.
• Oversee lost‑and‑found procedures and ensure proper documentation.
• Conduct performance reviews, provide coaching, and mentor motivated ambassadors.
• Handle guest complaints, ensuring swift resolution and guest satisfaction.
• Ensure proper use and periodic servicing of housekeeping equipment.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping supervision or management.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
• Ability to train, coach and develop staff.
• Good communication skills for guest interaction and team coordination.
