Assistant Professor – Obstetrics & Gynecology

About the role

The Faculty of Medical Sciences and UM6P Hospitals are seeking a full‑time Assistant Professor in Obstetrics & Gynecology. The successful candidate will join a dynamic academic health centre, balancing patient care, medical education, and scientific research.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient and inpatient obstetric and gynecological care.
• Diagnose, manage, and treat obstetric and gynecological conditions following evidence‑based guidelines.
• Perform medical and surgical procedures within the scope of clinical privileges.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Develop and lead research projects, publish findings, and secure external funding.
• Participate in departmental service, curriculum development, and quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD) with board certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
• Demonstrated interest in academic medicine, teaching, and research.
• Experience or interest in subspecialties such as Maternal‑Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, Reproductive Medicine, Urogynecology, or minimally invasive surgery is highly valued.
• Strong communication skills in English; French or Arabic proficiency is a plus.
