Audiovisual Technician – Banquet & Meeting Services

About the role

The Audiovisual Technician is responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining all AV, projection, lighting and conferencing equipment for banquet and meeting rooms at the Rabat Marriott Hotel. The role ensures equipment is functional, assists guests with usage, and up‑holds Marriott’s visual production standards.

Key responsibilities

• Set‑up, operate and troubleshoot AV, projection, lighting and video‑conferencing equipment.
• Oversee AV equipment installation in banquet and meeting rooms and verify setups against the Banquet Event Order.
• Repair, clean, label broken equipment and communicate issues to the supervisor.
• Manage cabling by taping down and dressing loose wires.
• Assist guests, up‑sell AV services and monitor equipment performance.
• Break‑down, remove and secure equipment after events.
• Follow Marriott Visual Productions SOPs, safety policies and company procedures.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related AV technician experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.
