Automation Technician

About the role

Givaudan is looking for an Automation Technician in Casablanca, Morocco. The role covers the programming, commissioning and maintenance of industrial automation systems, including PLCs and HMI/supervision software, in line with the company's food, fragrance and beauty innovations.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in drawing up or updating functional and organic analyses of automated systems
• Program, modify and optimise industrial PLCs on platforms such as Siemens, Schneider and Rockwell
• Design and parameterise HMI and supervision systems (WinCC, Intouch, etc.)
• Commission and validate automated installations (tests, trials, FAT/SAT)
• Diagnose and fix complex faults on production automation systems
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects and standardisation of automation architectures
• Keep up with technical developments and comply with safety standards (CE, SIL, PL)

Required profile

• Ideal candidate holds a degree in automated systems
• Extensive experience in food processing, pharmaceutical or chemical industries is ideal
• Analytical, logical and methodical, autonomous and responsible
• Able to work in project mode and in cross-disciplinary teams, with good communication with technical and non-technical colleagues

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of industrial PLCs: Siemens S7 / TIA Portal, Schneider Ecostruxure Unity Pro, Rockwell, etc.
• In-depth knowledge of IEC 61131-3 languages (Ladder, Structured Text, FBD)
• Experience developing or modifying SCADA/supervision systems
• Industrial networks: Profibus, Profinet, Modbus, Ethernet/IP
• Industrial electrical skills and reading of electrical diagrams
