B2 Certifying Engineer – Aircraft Maintenance

About the role

The B2 Certifying Engineer carries out and supervises line and base‑level maintenance on Air Arabia and third‑party aircraft within the CAR 66 ‘B2’ licence category. The role ensures that all work is performed, certified and recorded accurately and on time, complying with Air Arabia and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Review task cards with the Maintenance Manager, gather required documentation, parts and tools, and perform scheduled aircraft maintenance.
• Conduct aircraft tests and inspections, identify defects, troubleshoot and rectify issues according to Aircraft Maintenance Manuals and Engineering instructions.
• Sign off maintenance tasks within authorised scope, ensuring all paperwork meets required standards.
• Manage safety by applying mandatory precautions, using proper GSE and protective equipment, and handling human‑factors aspects to avoid task interruptions.
• Provide internal customer service, supervise technicians, and represent Air Arabia with a professional image.
• Maintain cost awareness by minimizing waste of consumables and avoiding unnecessary re‑work.

Required profile

• Valid B2 Aircraft Maintenance Licence with company approvals for Airbus A320.
• In‑depth knowledge of avionics systems and related maintenance practices.
• Proficient English communication for technical purposes.
• Good computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office.
• Minimum 2 years of certifying maintenance experience on Airbus A320 (external) or 5 years in a base/line maintenance environment (internal).
