Chief Accountant – Regional Office (Morocco)

About the role

Calsina Carré is seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to lead the finance and accounting function at its regional office in Morocco. You will act as the primary finance expert for the region, ensuring compliance with local regulations while collaborating closely with the Group Finance team at headquarters.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full accounting cycle, including monthly and year‑end closing, in line with Group policies.
• Prepare accurate financial statements, balance‑sheet reconciliations, intercompany transactions and coordinate audits.
• Manage local tax compliance – statutory filings, VAT, corporate taxes and liaison with external advisors.
• Oversee treasury activities such as cash management, banking relationships, supplier payments and liquidity planning with Group Treasury.
• Supervise accounts receivable, accounts payable and sales invoicing processes.
• Develop and manage a team of four finance professionals, handling workload distribution and performance.
• Serve as the main liaison with Group Finance, implementing corporate policies, reporting requirements and transformation initiatives.
• Provide financial analysis and budgeting support to local management.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or equivalent (Master’s degree preferred).
• Proven experience as a senior accountant or chief accountant, preferably in a multinational logistics or transport environment.
• Strong knowledge of Moroccan accounting and tax regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a small finance team and work autonomously.
