Contract Responsible – Construction Projects

About the role

ACCIONA is seeking a Contract Responsible to support the Project Director on its Casablanca water infrastructure project. The role focuses on managing the main construction contract, ensuring compliance with time, cost, quality and safety requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse the main contract and schedules, monitoring formal notices, time limits and contractual obligations.
• Develop and maintain contract documentation such as a Contract Manual and risk transfer mechanisms.
• Prepare and negotiate variations, extensions of time, and claim submissions, ensuring proper substantiation and client approval.
• Monitor exposure to liquidated damages and report contractual risks.
• Coordinate with the legal department on contract interpretations, dispute management and potential terminations.
• Support the procurement team with contractual matters and manage subcontractor relationships.

Required profile

• MSc in Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Quantity Surveying or related field.
• Minimum 6 years experience on large international construction projects, including at least 2 years in a similar contract management position.
• Fluent in English and French; Arabic or Spanish is a plus.
• Strong organisational, analytical and problem‑solving abilities, with excellent communication skills.
