Controller I – Finance & Accounting

About the role

The Controller I acts as the strategic financial business leader for the property, shaping and executing finance‑focused strategies that support brand objectives and enhance profitability. This role provides the financial expertise needed to implement service initiatives while safeguarding assets and ensuring strong operational controls.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze financial data and market trends to support strategic planning and decision‑making.
• Develop annual budget plans, forecast sales versus expenses, and monitor actual performance against projections.
• Identify profit‑improvement opportunities, estimate costs and benefits, and explore new business avenues.
• Maintain rigorous accounting and operational controls to protect assets and improve profitability.
• Lead and mentor accounting teams, communicating strategic goals and ensuring clear accountability.
• Prepare timely financial reports, accurately document profit and loss statements, and support property‑wide finance objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with no experience required.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex data and develop actionable insights.
• Leadership qualities to influence and guide accounting personnel.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting financial information to stakeholders.
