Customer Service Leader – APL2

About the role

The APL2 Customer Service Leader will head the customer logistics team, ensuring that daily customer requirements are met and priorities are aligned with production capabilities. This role bridges customers, production, and supplier logistics to guarantee on‑time deliveries in a fast‑paced automotive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the APL2 / Customer Logistics team and manage daily customer requirements and priorities.
• Monitor customer EDI/releases, orders, backlogs and delivery schedules.
• Ensure customer demand is correctly reflected in production planning and shipment priorities.
• Coordinate with Production to establish and follow the production plan according to customer demand, capacity and material availability.
• Work closely with APL1 / Supplier Logistics to identify material shortages that could affect customer deliveries.
• Maintain visibility of customer coverage, safety stock, backlog and shortage risks.
• Proactively escalate potential customer stoppages and establish recovery/action plans.
• Coordinate premium/urgent transportation while minimizing logistics costs.
• Ensure reliable communication with customers regarding delivery status, shortages and recovery plans.
• Lead daily logistics/customer‑service follow‑up and cross‑functional escalation meetings.
• Monitor and improve KPIs such as OTD, backlog, premium freight, complaints and inventory.
• Support new projects, ramp‑ups, production transfers and changes in customer demand.
• Drive continuous improvement and standardisation within APL2 processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• Solid experience in automotive customer logistics, customer service or production planning.
• Previous team leadership experience strongly preferred.
• Good understanding of automotive supply‑chain requirements and customer escalation management.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional coordination skills.
• Fluent English required; French highly desirable; Spanish an advantage.
