Pre-Serial Logistics Engineer

About the role

The Pre-Serial Logistics Engineer ensures that all logistics activities are planned, coordinated, and executed during the project phase, from nomination to SOP and ramp‑up stabilization. This role acts as the logistics interface between engineering, purchasing, production planning, manufacturing engineering, quality, suppliers, and launch managers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate pre‑serial logistics for new product launches, guaranteeing material availability for prototype, validation, pre‑series and SOP builds.
• Review product structures (BOM), engineering changes (ECN/ECR), revision levels and material status.
• Participate in Part List Meetings, monitor open actions and ensure closure.
• Coordinate engineering changes with Engineering and ensure timely implementation.
• Work closely with suppliers on tooling readiness, material availability, delivery schedules and recovery plans.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Production Planning and Manufacturing Engineering to align capacity, material planning and build schedules.
• Monitor logistics risks, proactively escalating potential shortages or delays.
• Support project ramp‑up activities until production stabilization after SOP.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics Engineering, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive logistics, supply chain, industrial engineering, launch management or project logistics.
• Professional working proficiency in English and French; Spanish is an advantage.
