Demi Chef de Partie - Rabat Marriott Hotel

About the role

The Rabat Marriott Hotel is looking for a Demi Chef de Partie for its kitchen in the Agdal district. This is a full-time, non-management position focused on preparing meals according to recipes and quality standards, supporting the chef and contributing to the quality of food served.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards and the food preparation checklist, including cold foods.
• Regulate the temperature of ovens, broilers, grills and roasters, and pull food from freezer storage to thaw in the refrigerator.
• Ensure proper portion, arrangement and garnish, and monitor the quality and quantity of food prepared.
• Maintain food logs and inform the chef of excess food items for daily specials.
• Tell food and beverage service staff about menu specials and out-of-stock items.
• Anticipate guest service needs and communicate assistance required during busy periods.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining and motivating staff, and act as a role model.
• Follow company and safety policies, report accidents and unsafe conditions, complete safety training and certifications, and keep a clean, professional appearance.

Required profile

• Preferred: a technical, trade or vocational school degree.
• Preferred: at least 3 years of related work experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Physical ability to stand, sit or walk for long periods, bend, twist and lift objects up to 25 pounds without assistance.
