Design to Cost Consultant

About the role

ALTEN is looking for a Design to Cost Consultant to lead cost‑reduction workshops for automotive projects. The role involves collaborating with design, engineering and cost experts to identify savings and ensure implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute cost‑reduction workshops covering components, systems or design areas.
• Discuss cost‑saving opportunities with specialized fields (cost, design, engineering) in both separate and mixed groups.
• Provide an overview of workshop planning, progress and achieved improvement proposals.
• Hand over collected ideas to the engineering team for implementation.
• Follow up on the progress of implemented cost‑saving measures.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (Bac + 5) in Data Analysis, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
• Excellent command of both French and English.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience.

Required skills

• Strong proficiency in PLM (Product Lifecycle Management).
• Expertise in Cost Management.
