DevOps Automation Engineer (Intermediate)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated DevOps Automation Engineer to design, automate, and optimise our cloud infrastructure and software delivery pipelines. The role focuses on AWS, Kubernetes, and modern DevOps practices to build scalable, secure, and resilient platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery.
• Architect, provision and manage highly available, scalable, and secure AWS environments.
• Deploy, scale and manage containerised applications using Kubernetes, ensuring cluster health and resilient deployments.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and explore cloud‑native tools such as Crossplane.
• Set up comprehensive monitoring, logging and alerting systems (e.g., New Relic) to detect performance issues.
• Collaborate with development, QA and security teams to streamline deployments and embed DevSecOps principles.
• Develop and test disaster recovery, backup and incident response procedures to maximise uptime.
