Director of Rooms

About the role

The Director of Rooms will act as the strategic leader of the property's Rooms department, overseeing all aspects of room operations, guest experience, and financial performance. Reporting to senior management, this role ensures that the department aligns with brand standards and delivers exceptional service to guests.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Rooms team, communicating clear departmental goals and championing the brand’s service vision.
• Develop and execute operational strategies that support profitability, including monitoring room rates, specials, and promotions.
• Analyze service issues, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to improve performance.
• Manage revenue goals by tracking sales performance against budget, coaching staff on occupancy, rates, and controllable expenses.
• Review financial statements and expense reports to ensure alignment with budgeted targets.
• Ensure exceptional customer service by reviewing guest feedback and driving continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management, or related field with at least 4 years of relevant experience, OR a 4‑year bachelor's degree with at least 2 years of experience.
• Experience across guest services, front desk, housekeeping, sales & marketing, or management operations.
