Director of Rooms

About the role

The Director of Rooms acts as the strategic business leader for the property’s Rooms department, overseeing planning, development, implementation and evaluation of room quality. The role ensures brand standards are met, drives revenue growth, and maximizes financial performance while delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Rooms team by championing the brand’s service vision, communicating clear departmental goals, and making decisions that drive performance.
• Manage profitability through analysis of service issues, development of operational strategies aligned with brand objectives, and regular expense reviews and audits.
• Drive revenue goals by monitoring sales performance against budget, coaching the team on occupancy, rates, wages and controllable costs, and ensuring budget adherence.
• Ensure exceptional guest service by reviewing feedback, handling complaints, and continuously improving service standards across all Rooms areas.
• Conduct human‑resources activities including recruitment, training, performance appraisals, and fostering employee engagement and fair treatment.

Required profile

• 2‑year degree in Business Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management or related field with 4 years of relevant experience.
• 4‑year bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hotel & Restaurant Management or related field with 2 years of relevant experience.
