Electrical Engineer

About the role

Harmattan AI is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and develop electronic boards and embedded systems for autonomous UAVs. You will work on high‑performance flight controllers, companion computers and electronic speed controllers that power mission‑critical defense platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Define architecture and design physical/electrical integration of complex processor‑based systems with fast memory (DDR, Flash) and peripherals.
• Create detailed schematics and perform PCB placement/routing while managing high‑speed signal constraints.
• Collaborate with Mechanical and GNC teams to ensure seamless board integration and accurate sensor interfacing.
• Address electromagnetic compatibility and signal‑integrity challenges.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues on electronic boards.
• Conduct testing, integration and performance validation to meet operational requirements.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in complex electronic system design.
• Proven ability to work autonomously and solve advanced technical problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Full commitment to the company’s mission and growth plans.

Required skills

• Electronic CAD tools (e.g., Altium).
• Processor, DDR and Flash memory architecture knowledge.
• PCB schematic capture and high‑speed routing.
• Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and signal‑integrity analysis.
• Use of electronic test equipment for validation.
• Experience with robotics or aerospace systems (advantage).
