English-Speaking Junior Accountant

About the role

GROUPE-CRIT is hiring, on behalf of one of its clients, an English-speaking Junior Accountant based in Casablanca. The role suits someone with first significant experience in a multinational company who wants to grow in a dynamic environment. It is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Keep accurate accounting books and records, ensuring timeliness and accuracy
• Prepare and book operating expenses according to the Group finance manual and local Moroccan GAAP
• Prepare monthly, weekly and daily reports for internal use, HQ and auditors
• Ensure accuracy of retail sales between ALS and SAP
• Book non-trade related expenses and reconcile intercompany accounts
• Reconcile retail control accounts including vouchers, bank and customer accounts
• Follow up outstanding accounts payable, prepare supplier payments and ensure timely payments
• Account for all taxes in line with local regulations and communicate with the Manager Accounting and Taxation on work status and client issues

Required profile

• University degree in business with an accounting and finance focus
• 1-2 years of accounting experience
• Fluency in English, French and Arabic
