Environmental Health and Safety Specialist

About the role

Yazaki, a Japanese full-systems supplier of wire harness, electrical and data products for the automotive industry, is looking for an EHS Specialist for its plant in Meknes. The role covers safety and environmental compliance, training and continuous improvement within the facility.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments, site inspections and incident investigations to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Develop, implement and update EHS procedures, policies and emergency response plans.
• Monitor environmental aspects such as waste management, emissions, water discharge and chemical storage.
• Deliver EHS training, toolbox talks and awareness programmes for employees and contractors.
• Lead internal safety audits, track corrective actions and maintain compliance documentation.
• Coordinate occupational health programmes, exposure monitoring and PPE compliance.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen safety culture and reduce operational risks.

Required profile

• Bac+5 degree in EHS or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in the EHS field.
• Knowledge of EHS and EHS management systems.
• Fluent French and English.
• Continuous improvement mindset.

Required skills

• Strong command of Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
