Events Sales Executive – Taghazout Bay Marriott Resort

About the role

We are looking for an Events Sales Executive to join the Marriott Resort at Taghazout Bay. The role combines sales, marketing and guest‑service responsibilities, supporting both internal teams and external customers to drive package sales and enhance the brand experience.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update the internal information board with upcoming events and important notices.
• Assist colleagues who are underperforming in sales, providing guidance and coaching.
• Allocate incoming lead calls and emails to Sales Executives according to a rotation schedule.
• Create and manage spreadsheets for mailing lists, tour schedules and other sales‑related data.
• Enter, retrieve, reconcile and verify sales information in the company’s software systems.
• Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve guest inquiries, requests or problems.
• Promote Marriott’s brand image internally and externally, using up‑selling techniques to maximise revenue while preserving guest loyalty.
• Encourage guests to purchase or schedule preview packages and tours, answering questions about property facilities and services.
• Support management with hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluation and employee coaching.
• Report accidents, injuries or unsafe conditions and ensure compliance with company policies and appearance standards.
• Anticipate guest needs, assist guests with disabilities and deliver courteous telephone etiquette.
• Develop positive working relationships, uphold quality standards and suggest process improvements.
• Perform light physical tasks such as moving objects up to 10 lb and other reasonable duties as assigned.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least one year of relevant experience in sales, events or hospitality.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
• No specific licence or certification required.

Required skills

• Ability to create and maintain spreadsheets for data organisation.
• Proficiency in data entry, reconciliation and verification within sales software.
• Strong customer‑service and communication skills.
• Basic physical ability to lift or move items up to 10 lb.
