Field Support Engineer – Telecom Systems

About the role

The Field Support Engineer joins the Operations organization of Secure Land Communications, reporting to the Project/Care Manager. Based in Rabat, you will work directly with customers to resolve incidents, integrate networks and conduct acceptance tests.

Key responsibilities

• Manage customer requests and provide technical support via phone or remote tools.
• Investigate and troubleshoot complex telecommunications systems and incidents.
• Verify corrections supplied by R&D and support roll‑out or upgrade operations.
• Prepare and execute network integration and acceptance procedures on‑site.
• Collaborate with internal teams to propose and implement resolutions.

Required profile

• Engineering degree with experience in telecommunications or IT.
• Strong problem‑solving ability and capacity to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills in English and French.
• Willingness to travel frequently, including worldwide assignments.
• Methodical, autonomous, detail‑oriented and a team player.

Required skills

• Cisco and Juniper networking equipment.
• Linux (RedHat) and Windows operating systems, including virtualization and containerization.
• VMware, Active Directory and basic information‑security concepts.
• IP protocols: IPv4, IPv6, VoIP, Mobile IP, VLAN, VPN, OSPF.
• Security technologies: authentication, encryption, firewall, proxy, IPsec, SSL, vulnerability assessment.
• System integration and on‑site interventions.
• Test automation tools such as Robot Framework and scripting in Python.
• Knowledge of Airbus Tetra, radio and terminal platforms.
