Financial Accountant – Accounts Payable

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Accountant specialized in Accounts Payable to join Otis’ finance team in Casablanca. The role will ensure accurate processing of supplier invoices, manage payments and support month‑end closing while complying with Moroccan accounting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Record supplier invoices with proper analytical allocation and monitor supplier accounts.
• Process local and international payments, perform supplier reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare, review and post general ledger entries; conduct periodic analysis and reconciliations.
• Execute monthly bank reconciliations and monitor bank transactions.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing activities, including accruals and financial reporting.
• Prepare and submit tax declarations (VAT, corporate tax, withholding tax) in line with local regulations.
• Maintain internal controls, ensure compliance with accounting standards and assist internal/external audits.
• Collaborate with procurement, logistics and finance teams to ensure accurate financial data.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (Bac+3/Bac+5).
• 3‑5 years of experience in accounting, preferably in accounts payable or general accounting.
• Strong knowledge of Moroccan accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Familiarity with IFRS or GAAP is a plus.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems such as JDE.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Understanding of IFRS and GAAP principles.
