Freight Operations Executive (Air Freight Specialist)

About the role

Aramex is looking for an Air Freight Specialist to drive its efficient freight operations, ensuring goods move quickly and cost-effectively from initial quotes to final delivery. The role covers import and export shipments, international regulations, clear communication and high customer service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Execute import and export shipments from initial quote to final delivery, handling both LTL and FTL shipments, including hazardous materials in line with regulations
• Arrange collection of Delivery Orders and Bills of Lading, coordinate customs clearance and ensure accurate documentation
• Submit shipping instructions, schedule shipments and monitor milestones and status in CargoWise at 100% update rate
• Monitor supplier invoices and performance, complete job costing and billing, and keep clear communication with suppliers and clients
• Follow company SOPs and KPIs, and independently handle pre- and post-shipment documents
• Work with shipping lines, brokers, transporters and consignees to obtain BL status, local charges, payment receipts and payment vouchers
• Create transportation references in CargoWise, including truck consignment notes, manifests, MAWBs, bills of entry and export/import consignment records

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business or another field
• 3-4 years of relevant experience in the freight forwarding industry
• Experience in operations and broad knowledge of regulations; Cargowise experience preferred
• Good command of professional email writing and leadership behaviors such as collaboration, accountability and growth mindset
