GCP Security Engineering and Integration Specialist

About the role

Deltalink is looking for a GCP Cloud Security Engineering and Integration Specialist for a cloud migration assignment. This is a freelance, remote position requiring 5 to 8 years of experience. The specialist provides security expertise across GCP infrastructure and application migration projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide security engineering expertise throughout GCP infrastructure and application migration projects.
• Support the implementation and hardening of security controls within GCP Landing Zones.
• Conduct security design reviews and technical risk assessments for cloud architectures and migrated applications.
• Review and validate cloud configurations, migration plans and security requirements against enterprise standards.
• Collaborate with Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure, Network and Cybersecurity teams to ensure secure cloud integration.
• Identify security risks, recommend remediation actions and contribute to risk mitigation plans.
• Develop reusable GCP security design patterns, standards and best practices.
• Prepare security documentation to support governance, compliance and audit requirements.

Required profile

• +5 years of experience in cloud security, with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Proven experience supporting large-scale GCP cloud migration projects in complex enterprise environments.
• Experience conducting security architecture reviews, technical assessments and risk evaluations for GCP workloads.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, industry standards and security-by-design principles.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
