Global Payroll Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a proactive, solutions‑focused Global Payroll Specialist to join SymphonyAI’s Global Payroll team. The role will manage payroll operations across a diverse international landscape covering EMEA, APAC and North America, balancing day‑to‑day execution with project and transformation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end payroll processing for multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy, compliance and internal controls.
• Review and reconcile payroll outputs, including tax calculations, statutory deductions and benefits.
• Partner with HR, Finance and external payroll providers to ensure seamless payroll delivery and integration.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of payroll legislation and industry best practices across supported locations.
• Support payroll governance, audit readiness and process standardisation.
• Serve as primary contact for payroll‑related queries from employees and stakeholders worldwide.
• Collaborate with external vendors on service delivery, issue resolution and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to payroll projects such as transitions, integrations, acquisitions and transformation initiatives.
• Develop and maintain payroll documentation, operating procedures and knowledge resources.
• Act as a payroll subject‑matter expert within cross‑functional project workstreams.

Required profile

• Strong operational payroll experience across multiple international jurisdictions in a global environment.
• Experience supporting outsourced payroll models and working with global payroll providers.
• Exposure to payroll operations in EMEA, APAC and North America; experience with India, US and Canada is a plus.
• Good understanding of payroll controls, compliance, audit and governance practices.
