HSE Engineer – Health, Safety & Environment

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HSE Engineer to lead health, safety and environment initiatives across our regional operations. You will ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards while driving continuous improvement in safety performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement the local HSE management system in line with applicable laws and corporate policies.
• Maintain records, identify gaps, and propose improvements to the HSE system.
• Conduct regional compliance assessments and monitor regulatory changes.
• Identify operational risks, design control measures, and evaluate their effectiveness.
• Plan and deliver HSE training to enhance employee competence and awareness.
• Support HSE system audits, management reviews, and emergency response procedure development.
• Report incidents promptly to headquarters and participate in accident investigations.
• Prepare monthly HSE performance reports and assist the regional GM with rule establishment, hazard identification, inspections, and incident investigations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in HSE within electricity, thermal energy, fuel‑gas or hydraulic power sectors.
• Experience in high‑risk construction safety management.
• Knowledge of ISO standards, auditing and inspection processes.
• Strong understanding of HSE regulations and best practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership and teamwork abilities.
• Fluent English (listening, speaking, reading, writing).
