HV/MV Substation Engineer

About the role

ALTEN Morocco is looking for an experienced HV/MV Substation Engineer to design, document, and support high‑voltage substations (110 kV / 15 kV). You will work with multidisciplinary teams to ensure reliable, standards‑compliant power distribution solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high‑voltage electrical drawings and documentation using Engineering Base (E‑Base).
• Create and update single‑line diagrams, wiring diagrams, terminal plans and interconnection schematics.
• Define and manage interfaces between switchgear, protection, control‑command systems and auxiliary AC/DC power supplies.
• Produce engineering deliverables such as cable schedules, signal lists, equipment lists and technical reports.
• Analyze customer requirements, verify compliance with electrical standards and project specifications.
• Perform technical reviews, validate documentation quality and assess design changes.
• Support troubleshooting, conduct root‑cause analysis and propose technical solutions.
• Collaborate with project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle and ensure milestone compliance.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (BAC+5) in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems.
• 5‑7 years of experience in HV/MV substation design.
• Strong knowledge of high‑voltage and medium‑voltage substations and distribution systems.
• Good understanding of protection, control‑command and auxiliary power supply systems.
• Experience translating technical specifications into engineering deliverables.
• Familiarity with electrical standards and best‑practice documentation.
