Information Technology Consultant – Access & Systems Management

About the role

We are looking for an Information Technology Consultant to lead and improve our security, access, and data‑management processes. The consultant will work closely with internal teams and external vendors to ensure that user permissions, shared drives, and IT systems are secure, well‑organized, and aligned with business needs.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and enhance security protocols for laptop access, shared drives, file systems, user accounts and password management.
• Recommend and apply IT security best practices and conduct regular audits of user access and permissions.
• Analyse existing shared‑drive structures, design a logical and scalable folder architecture, and standardise document organization.
• Support and maintain internal data‑management systems and collaborative platforms, providing user assistance and troubleshooting technical issues.
• Identify and resolve data breaches or software failures, proposing actionable solutions and harmonising systems and processes.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to facilitate system transitions and promote best practices for data security and productivity.
• Manage IT onboarding and off‑boarding activities, including account creation, access provisioning, equipment setup, and de‑activation for departing staff.
• Maintain up‑to‑date access lists and IT inventory records.

Required profile

• Proven experience in IT security, access management and user permission administration.
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate existing drive structures and design scalable solutions.
• Ability to conduct periodic audits and produce clear remediation recommendations.
• Experience supporting data‑management systems and providing end‑user technical assistance.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with cross‑functional teams and external partners.
