Ingénieur Aquaculture – Projet Pilote RAS

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Aquaculture Engineer to lead a pilot Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS) project in the Biougra/Agadir region of Morocco. The role involves setting up the system, managing daily operations, and evaluating its technical and commercial viability.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, install and operate the pilot RAS facility.
• Design and implement fish stocking, feeding and growth‑monitoring protocols.
• Monitor and control water quality parameters such as dissolved oxygen, temperature, pH, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate.
• Manage water circulation, aeration, mechanical and biological filtration, and biosafety measures.
• Develop standard operating procedures and emergency response protocols.
• Train and supervise the local operational team.
• Track production performance and prepare weekly performance reports.
• Monitor project costs and assess feasibility for future scale‑up.

Required profile

• Degree in Aquaculture, Fisheries, Marine Biology, Agricultural Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience with RAS technology and tilapia production.
• Hands‑on knowledge of pumps, aeration systems, mechanical and biological filtration.
• Ability to lead a pilot project from installation through the first production cycle.
• Strong problem‑solving, planning and team‑management skills.
• Fluent in French and/or English; Arabic is a plus.
• Willingness to work on‑site in the Biougra/Agadir area.
