IT Manager - Hotel Property

About the role

The IT Manager is part of the property management staff and supports the property's technology and information resources objectives. The role covers technology planning, decision-making, implementation and maintenance, and may manage property systems technicians while interfacing with vendors, owners, the Executive Committee and property staff.

Key responsibilities

• Manage property-based systems, including hardware and software, and ensure backup and recovery run on schedule
• Maintain, inspect and repair equipment, and verify that computer and network operations are monitored
• Administer mail and email, maintain inventories of IT hardware and software, and provide internet and cable management support
• Generate system communications for users about new applications, tips, problems and progress
• Enforce IR policies and standards, direct equipment and software inventory maintenance in line with licensing regulations, and coordinate property IT needs with IR Shared Services and other systems staff
• Manage vendors as the escalation point for problem resolution
• Develop goals and plans, assess needs against brand standards, budget and capital requirements, and schedule and track projects on site
• Lead the IR team, recognize team members' contributions, and ensure fair treatment of employees and consistent application of property policies

Required profile

• BS/BA or equivalent work experience, plus 3-5 years in a similar position
• Previous experience in IR Global Field Services or Marriott Systems Support desirable
• System-related professional certifications desired
